compusa super store had a deal on the opening day that if you get a wireless cell free to xxx amount of dollar and sign up for service you get a free 1 gb ipod shuffle. i could not pass this offer since i could make money. i got the pm8200 for 30 bucks and sold it for 180 on ebay, and the ipod for 125. now, how can i cancel service. wait out the 30 days and tell them i do not want it. or tell them i lost the phone, etc. or just do not pay the bill? and will get one once gets canceled?

first of all, its 14 day trial period and you would have to return the phone. if you cancel after that, you would have to pay a cancellation fee. but i believe that's $150, but i could be wrong. :deal: btw.. how do you get this deal?

This is probably not the best way to make some money. But, I'm just guessing that you will probably end up paying the ETF (Early Termination Fee) of $150 and paying for the month you "had" the phone, taxes, and activation charges, etc.
So you will probably be up only about $50....but I guess you are still up money.

actually i make the money fo the ipod, that is all... still good after cancelation and fees...

Basically, if you want to cancel the service, the phone has to be returned. Since you can't do that, you have to pay the 150.00 ETF and the monthly service charge. One word for you. karma

thats what i was thinking. this cat is hustling backwards. hey kid, make sure that when you're trying to run a scam that the words 'social security number' and 'contractual obligation' aren't relevant to the scenario.

Your aren't gonna make that $125 dollars....you still have to pay for the month you had the phone and the taxes, possibly an activation fee.
Oh by the way, I'm sure you will have a tougher time getting a cell phone again, from any company. Breaking out of a contract isn't really liked by companies and I'm sure the credit authorities will be notified.

i know what i did was a quit buck. but i do not need teachings. the phone was not sold, the person backed out of the deal since i wanted a confirmed address and they could not provide one. anyways to make a long story short. I sold the ipod already, but i can not return the phone since they want it back to cancel service. is there a way i can cancel by calling sprint. i know i will pay the charges etc, but my thing is this. since i can not return the phone, only 29 bucks, my mom wanted to use it since she does not qualify for the upgrade. now i called to do an esn swap, but they said the phone is in use. she has a nokia 6116i. she wants a flip phone. yes, i could sell this over the net.. but i rather give it to her. any help will b appreciated. at lest some good karma goes into helping the mother....
ok, this is SO confusing! can you please tell me where the ipod and all has to do with all this??? I don't understand what you're asking. If you will clarify I would be happy to help!

Remus.....
You signed up for service on that specific phone, and because you have not cancelled that plan, Sprint still thinks that phone is in use. That is why you cannot do an ESN swap on that phone. Until you totally cancel service and pay your incurred fees, nobody can switch their number to that phone.
Maybe you should just continue service on the phone yourself and pay the bill, which would help your credit, and give you a phone to use...obviously.

it DOES NOT help your credit. only if you do not pay it messes it up. I got approved for 4 line and no spending limit, so i think my credit is just fine. also i used to have sprint but moved to cingular for world roaming. i already cancel the service and all is ok. i will give the phone to my mom. they said is ok, and i do not even need to pay fees only the bill for that month, that is 88 bucks...

You received an instant rebate on the phone when you began a contract with Sprint. If you cancel service within the first 14 days and do not return the phone your acct will be billed for remainder of the retail phone price. If you cancel after 30 days you can keep the rebate on the phone and pay only the ETF. Sorry but both charges amount to the same $150.

So you sold the phone to your mom? For $25?
So let's get this straight,
Sold Ipod Shuffle on Ebay......... + $110
Sold Phone to Mom.................. + $ 25
Paid for Phone at Store............ - $ 30 (+ Tax)
Phone Service........................ - $ 88 (According to you)
Accessories........................... - $ ??
From what I could tell from your previous posts you will be up..................... $ 17
$ 17!!!!! That's all from what I can tell. Wow, I think I could've made $17 in the time you've been posting on this board.
Quit trying to con your way into some money, I wonder what your Mom thinks of the whole deal. I suppose she has no idea about the Ipod shuffle you sold on Ebay, or how you got it.

phone actually was sold on ebaY... the person sent a money order... 193 with shipping...
Philip_22
06-24-2005, 03:28 PM
Well, that makes you up $185.
Then you have to ship the phone to the buyer, that will probably be $5. So you will be up $180 still. But then you won't be able to cut off service without paying the $150 Early Termination Fee, because you don't have the phone to return. So you will be up around $30.
Still not worth the time it took to sell on ebay, which will cost you around $2 more. What a waste.

My thoughts exactly. And dude, don't think they will just let it go and not bill you. Since the phone is gone, it sounds like you'll be SOL. Liquidation charges that go unpaid will ruin you with Sprint.
