Hows it going everyone? So I'm thinking about getting an extended battery for my 535, but I was wondering how much fatter does the phone become? Does anybody have pictures comparing the 535 using the stock battery and the extended? Also do I have to buy the battery from sprint? or can I buy a battery from one of those carts in the mall? Whats the right number of "mah" to get? Sorry for all the questions and requests, but I have no idea about certain things like this. Thanks again everybody

I had the same question a couple of weeks ago. See my post:

But I`m no longer interested in the extended battery now that we've figured out how to avoid the excessive battery drain problem.
Check out this thread if you're having this problem:

I just got my OEM Sprint charger, miniSD card, and the extended battery w/cover today. They were purchased from eBay. Here are some pics with the extended battery on there:

At first I thought my phone wasn't reading the battery right. I played about 100 .mp3's twice, took some pictures and video, and played some more with the settings and still kept 4 bars. And finally after a 10-15 minute call, it dropped down to 3 bars. So, I was sure that it was working fine. It probably adds about a 1/4" thickness to the phone.

Hey TAF, thanks for the great pics! But how does it feel? Do you use it in a holster? (BTW, I have the Sprint holster, and now that I've learned to get the phone in and out w/1 hand, I like it fine -- not great, but what else is out there?). What's it like talking or using the web browser with the extended battery?

I noticed the images aren't working today. I've probably reached my maximum traffic-limit. If you need to see the images, just let me know and I could eMail them to you.

If you're familiar with the Sanyo SCP-5300, then picture that phone with the extended-battery. It's about a 1/16"-inch thicker than my MM-535 with the extended-battery.
I've seen that holster for the M-535 at the SprintPCS store. It's a pretty huge piece of device. It reminds me of those head-gear braces, lol. If you've got that holster anyway, then I don't think the extended battery will add any difference to it other than weight. As far as weight goes, it's not much heavier. It's like carrying 1 1/2 - 2 standard 1000 mAh batteries. The extended battery I got is 1400 mAh by the way.
It still fits nicely into the palm of your hand. The added thickness is nice because when you lay it down on it's battery-side, it no longer sits on the rim around the camera's lense. The addition of the thickness is also nice because before when you'd hold the part of the phone while pressing the keys on the numberbad, it just felt way too thin. It just felt weird.
As far as power duration. It's actually really great. I don't know if you've used the miniSD feature for playing .mp3's yet, but I can play about 200 songs starting with 4 bars, checking eMail, and downloading ringtones and wallpapers and not dropping a single bar. And when you're playing .mp3's on this phone, the display is at 100% the entire time. I've also noticed that the phone no longer gets as hot as it did with the standard battery while on the charger. I seriously don't understand how it's lasting that long, lol.
I'm actually going to the SprintPCS store tomorrow to have the phone looked at. Pictures and video clips taken with this phone are always green on either side (especially the right). I hope I don't get jerked around.
