Just wanted to start a thread about the new Samsung i730 or the HTC Universal or any other NEW PPC phones coming to the cell phone market near you! Feel free to post your comments, and any links or info about these or other future release PPC phones. Release dates would be great if there is any inside info on the Universal. :headbang2

Here is one to start!

I can't wait for the i730!!! I want it SOOO bad. Have a friend in S. Korea that has the i730 (mm4600 or something over there) and the things he tells me about it make me want to cry for not getting to use one yet :(

I'm a little worried on the price tho... for him even after rebates it was ~$700 USD. However, that did come with a 1Gig mem card and a case and stuff, but i'm still worried that with the Sprint rebate the phone might be like $550 or something.

I'm more worried about whether or not Sprint will actually ever carry the i730. Once it's confirmed, then I'll start worrying about how I'm going to pay for it...

I agree...Verizon is going to get this phone (see link below). I don't think Sprint will ever offer it :(

You do know that the HTC Universal is NOT a CDMA phone?

I know it is not, at least the current model being talked about, but it is wcdma equipped. So with that said, it wouldn't take much pull to make it a cdma phone if sprints order is big enough, And HTC would love to saturate the market as much as possible.

The Universal is barely in Europe now........it will be a good while before a CDMA variant will be here. (Sad to say)

That's about the only PDA phone that I would get to replace my UX50/Bluetooth phone combo.

Fear not guys, Sprint is planning on carrying the Universal. One of the beta testers was posting on another message board. He wouldn't give us much info on it though. But at least we know it's in the works.
