I have a pm8200, and my sprint contract just expired. My girlfriend just signed us up to verizon, and I got a moto v710 but id just rather keep using my sanyo pm8200. I understand that sprint will never allow us to provision a verizon phone on sprint, but that verizon will let us use sprint phones.
I understand that I will only be able to use the phone for voice calls, with no vision/internet/RL support or anything.
So I have the MSL code by using bitpim and a usb cable. What settings/changes to I need to put in the phone before I do an ESN swap with Verizon?
Thanks,
OC

You are correct. All you have to do is take your phone to a Verizon store, and tell them the MSL code, and they will set it up for you.

iTunes guy. I can almost promise you that this was ONE instance where they did this. Most reps are going to try to sell you a phone. Point blank. If they do it for him I'd be VERY surprised.

Hey, you know what? I totally agree with you. I'm surprised they did it too. But they did. It was a Kyocera 2345 (I think). Just telling from my own experiences. It was at the Verizon store in Egg Harbor Township (Mays Landing).

Right but i already have a new phone. I just dont like it. Thats why I'd like to make all the settings changes myself, and just call them with the ESN after i did all the changes. Does anyone know what needs to be changed?
Also, will I still be able to use analog roaming?

The other way is to write the ESN of your Verizon phone into your Sanyo 8200 and program the phone number manually.

sprint wont accept non-sprint ESNs...and you would have a really fancy voice only phone

Korean CDMA phones will not work with Sprint. They even will not see the network because they are single-band 800MHz CDMA. They may work with Verizon, but not with Sprint.
