I was reading somewhere that Sprint had required LG to disable the speakerphone on the 325. Has anyone found a way to reactivate it?

I wasn't even aware that the 325 had a speaker phone. If it is just locked and can be unlocked that would be cool but I don't think it is possible.

It would be possible with a firmware upgrade, if indeed it had a speaker phone. Could I get a link to this article?

I think if you call *2 (Customer Care) the speakerphone works. Unfortunately I haven't heard of anyone figuring out how to use it otherwise...

Yeah, I have experienced that. Other than that........it's monitor only (Mic muted)

How useful would this actually be? The monitor mode is barely loud enough to hear most of the time.

wait...what does monitor do? it keeps the mic muted? wouldn't you just hit MUTE then? i don't get it. sorry someone please explain because i had that phone before and was confused by this and now that my friend has it i want to tell her about it. thanks. :)

It makes the speaker louder........and yes, makes the Mic mute.

If you just hit mute, the speaker stays the same. If you press Ok while the slide is up (and you are in a call), it will turn on Monitor (when the slide is down, you just select "Monitor On" from the in call menu). I usually use it when I listen to VM (not in public, of course).

I guess. Also, perhaps if it can be unlocked it can also be made louder.

Now when you use it for *2, is it full or half duplex?

There's nothing we can do...........only a Software update (and there isn't one that has fixed the speaker phone.....and I don't think one ever will)
