I tried making my own ring tones today, and they worked pretty good. When I finally got it just how I wanted it, it gave me an error when trying to download it. Once i finally got it downloaded (had to upload it again) it downloaded and my phone ... froze, i guess you could say. I reset the phone and when i got back in i coudlnt set a ringtone by going to settings -> sounds -> ringtone. I could only set pre-loaded tones not downloaded tones. The only way im able to access my ringers is by going to downloads -> ringers. I had a couple of tones in there, that I deleted and there is an empty icon there, and it wont let me run, delete, or do anything. And everytime I download a new ringtone, downloads->ringers is the onyl way I can set it.
Ive got the MM-7400 phone, does anyone know what's going on? Anyone ever have this problem?
I think I'm probably going to need to reset the memory, i don't know if it's safe, or how to do it though. If anyone can help me, please let me know ...

Did you follow the directions for creating your own AAC ringers found on this site. I just got done sending another 5 ringers to my phone. Works like a charm.

i had that same exact problem a couple of months ago. be prepared, your phone will really mess up in a couple of days. about 2 days after my downloads failed, and i couldnt delete those icons, my phone started to not save pics when i took them, and when i tried to delete one pic, the phone shut off. after it shut off, i tried to turn it on again, but i only got a blank white screen. that was it. i took it to the store and they said its a problem with faulty memory, and theyve seen a couple of them already. so if i were you, i would upload your pics, and write down all of your contacts, or upload them with a data cable to your computer.

no they gave me a whole new one. luckily, i had my contacts saved with bitpim from my data cable, so i didnt have to enter them in again.

I tryed to do as you said but this did not fixed my problem.
My problem in more like this . . .
my memory says it's full, but it is not.
When I try to take pics shut off the handset, same thing happens with taking videos.
I created my own ringtones with MP4 format which played very good for so long but then suddenly stoped playing them with the exception of only one. now it gives me an error message every time i try to upload the same ringtone. I went to the Sprint store and all the wanted me to give me a very ****ty phone in return.
I only have one pool game, that every time i try to play i have to download it again
