Sprint's website says that you can store videos on an LG 535's MiniSD card. Can you also play them from the card? If so, what video format(s) will it play?

Also, does anyone know if you have to have the Sprint TV Service active to play videos from an SD card?

yes you can store videos and play them from the card, they only play videos in the 3gp format. search the forums if you want to learn how to encode them. And no I don't think you need the service active to play videos from the sd card, i played a video in the subway (where there is no service) and it worked fine

anything you save on the card can be played back...you dont need to pay for that

Thanks, guys. You've led this N00b to some interesting reading material.

Does anyone regularly post any TV shows in 3gp format? I'm thinking about starting to convert over some shows I've grabbed from BitTorrent.

So far, this looks like a great forum. You guys are awesome!

Yep, I've already downloaded several from there and I found a couple on BitTorrent. :) Once I figure out how to post them, I'll probably throw them up. What I really want are some of the Adult Swim shows like Harvey Birdman, Sealad 2021, Robot Chicken, etc.

If you want them, I grabbed XXX: State of the Union and I'm closed to complete on Miss Congeniality 2.

I actually have a Sanyo 7400 right now, but I'll probably be exchanging it for a 535 soon. My mom decided to upgrade to one of them from sprint.com, so we'll have one soon to test out. If I like it as much as I think I will, I'll have one orered for myself by the end of the week. If not, I'll probably be getting a Sanyo 5600 instead.
