Yea I know he`s been done since 1990 but for some reason I thought he might be another cinderella man. The early Mike was so powerfull. Even with the 2 point detuction Mike was still leading on 2 score cards but he gave up. Not to many great fighters end there carrer winning.

u thought?u must be cleo,you ppl cant take away what he accomplished,the youngest heavyweight champ ever,over a billion dollars in gate receipts he brought to boxing,You all dont realize that after cus d'amato died tyson was a totally different person and fighter,to me,he'll always be the best defensive fighter of all time,no fighter in boxing history invoked fear like tyson did when u got in the ring with him,and he didnt rape that woman,he was railroaded.

I watched the fight...really because I wanted to she Laila Ali fight and because as an employee of Comcast I get it on discount....

Mike Tyson was a great heavyweight fighter who doesnt have the heart for it anymore...so he said he was basically fighting to make money. I can appreciate him being frank and honest....Yes he was winning the fight in my eyes too but if he doesnt have it ...I would rather see him quit out of the ring not during a fight. That of course is my opinion.... Even with his personal issues I find myself liking him when he is honest and candid....I think if anything I witnessed one of the most feared and one of the best fighters in the 90's end his career. Sad but everything must come to an end. I also agree his career was over a long time ago....


SIDENOTE: Ali was on hand to support his daughter....One of the best pictures would have been her kissing him after the fight which is what she does when he is in attendance...

I just wonder how he is going to pay off the 40 million he owes to various creditors and the IRS. Of his purse last night, 2 mil went to creditors, 750k went to his ex wife, and the IRS got a cut...

He was slated to fight 7 more times to pay them off....

Don't really understand your reply? cleo? :confused: I said nothing about taking away what he has accomplished. Your right on one thing that Tyson wasn't the same boxer after his trainer died. Tyson has made more money than any other athlete but he's broke and owes the irs millions. Even after Tyson bit Holyfield's ear not once but twice and after his stupid comments I still wanted him to be the champ again. Tyson was lucky getting his boxing license back. Last night I couldn't beleave that Tyson head butts the guy and practically tries to break the guys arm. Then he doesn't get off his chair after the 6th round and says he dosen't have the desire to fight anymore? A lot of fighters did fear Tyson but put a Ali or a Fraizer up against him and it's probally a different out come. I'm not saying Tyson did rape that women but I highly doubt that you know for sure that he didn't. I'm not sure but I think Tyson hurt boxing more than he helped it? Oh yea Tyson got
