View Full Version : Why does the Toshiba 4050 camera seem head and shoulders better than the LG mm 535

I'm a little confused and perhaps under-educated. The LG MM 535 has a 1.3 megapixel camera yet the pics do not come through half as clear as they do on the 4050. Now STOP!!! if you're about to reply with " Well the 4050 has better screen, etc" That may be true but even when you send the pics to your comp, the 4050 pics are great and the 535....ummm...not so great...not bad but not nearly with as much detail and clarity. Now I understand the screen part but do the screens play a part in the camera functionality?

I'm asking because I love the 535 but I'm finding it hard to part with my 4050 as well. I have NEVER had any problems with it, besides the crap they call a speaker phone and ringtone clarity...qcp that is.. :Popcorn2: Any replies are greatly appreciated.

Megapixels do not equal clearer images. Just bigger images. If they're resized, then they will probably look better than your 4050.

hmm...I know the toshiba takes pretty good pictures...but it depends...take a picture with the LG at VGA quality, then compare it with the 4050 in same spot with same light

Remember, mega-pixles don't mean anything. In cameraphones, if you want quality, you have to look for a CCD image processor.

Anyways, how about some comparison pics?

For me pictures on the 4050 dark colors come out too dark and light colors come out too light in pics viewed on the computer. But when you view a picture on the Toshiba's screen the picture looks perfect. Nothing is too dark or too light.

I like the LG535 pics better, but the toshiba 4050 pics aren't so bad.

these arent so bad, but like stated before, some comparing is going to need to be made.
