Can anyone tell me if there is another treo or 6600 PDA phone coming out for sprint in the next couple of months? Thanks!

No there is NOT another Treo coming. Can't speak for 6600 phones.

Even if Palm announced another Treo today, it would be 6 months at least before Sprint carried it. Probably longer.

Another thing will guarantee that there will not be another Treo announced for at least 6 months or more..... Verizon just picked it up. How pissed would Verizon, and their users, if Treo announced the 700 next week?...

Figure a Treo 700 announcement in 6 months, and Sprint to carry it 6 months after that.

Thanks for the info!! I really want the Treo but it is really expensive. Know anywhere to get a deal?

That all depends.... are you a current Sprint customer?... are you in good standing?... are you currently on contract?... are you eligible for the 18-month discount?... how good is your current plan?... if you are on contract, how much time is left?...

it's all in the details....

Well here is my situation, Its a little confusing:

I am on my parents account still. My dad has 6 lines on a 2500 minute plan. I have vision, pictures, insurance, and video mail. It says my contract expires 07/06/06. I bought my 4050 last summer. Sprint is telling me I am eligible for the phone upgrade but I dont think that is right. I need a new number because I recently moved to Dallas, after I graduated, for a job.

So here is my question(s):
If my contract expires 07/06/06, can I get any kind of rebate because I will be changing my number?

Can I break away from my dad's account without breaking my sprint contract?

Sprint says I am able to get a rebate but I know that I have only had my phone for a little over a year. It says I am eligible for my next rebate on 06/01/2004. That can't be right. Can I still get the rebate?

Thanks for the help!

I have no idea about the plan, but my guess is you'll need to get your own plan, since you are a shared line. But this has one blessing, you can get a better price on the phone signing up as a new customer.

One of the lurking CS eps will have to answer the plan question... you might need to post in the general forum about that.
