I just got a 2300 and I wanted to download ringers and pics that I had on my old phone (A500), but with few exceptions when I send files to my phone it tells me I need a plug in to use the file. It seems pretty random. Sometimes mp3 files will work and others won't. With pics it's very random. I and nothing animated is coming through.
I have tried using the voice studio from myphonefiles.com but even that doesn't work. I'm getting very frustrated!
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? What type of files are compatable? IS there a plugin I can download that will fix this?
(Now none of these are from Sprint, but I cant' spend that kind of money to have a temporary picture on my phone) :irked:
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm having similar problems. I followed the instructions to make my own voice ringer and when I send it to my phone it says it's invalid and won't download it. It says "Invalid Descriptor." Any ideas? I have my phone through a buisiness account so I can't download "real" tones from Sprint...boo.

I have found (interesting enough) that qcp files seem to work fine (for the most part), as long as I download them directly from my phone. When I try to send them as part of a text message I get the error.
