Hi. I have a treo 600 and want to upgrade to a PPC phone. The only PPC Sprint phones currently out are the audiovox and hitachi, both windows mobile 2003.
Sprint has clammed up regarding new models this summer with the EVDO rollout, although a rep did tell me that the audiovox is slated to be discontinued at the beg. of July.....
Anyone know what PPC phones with Windows Mobile 2005 are coming out and when?
I heard a rumor the first may be the samsung i780.

Concerning Sprint's plans to discontinue the Audiovox line.......Did the rep say he say he saw this in the computer, a rumor he heard floating around the office, etc...
Has anyone else heard about this?

I spoke to some people and they haven't heard anything about this. I will contact some more people I know tomorrow just to cover all the bases.

YUp the audiovox is going to be discountinued for the ppc 6700 which is slated for an august release
I'm seriously considering getting the PPC 6700 but have no experience with the PPC line. Would anyond out there be willing to converse via email about some questions and concerns that i have? If so, please email me at boobtp@yahoo.com

Does anybody have any idea what the 6700? looks like. I searched but didn't find anything...where are you all getting this info?? Is there even a 6700???? Far as I know sprint hasn't said a word about its new PPC. :indiff:
