For all you people who lost Unlimited SMS....

Retention now has the codes again to give you unlimited sms messaging back but it seem the CS reps are still not understanding grandfathering....I had rebuilt my plan and upped my minutes...To add my goodies back on I spoke to retention....My son who lost his unlimited sms messaging and I was paying for it had to have his line taken out of expired status and I added the unlimited sms back because he is a texter....well yesterday I was talking to a rep and he looked at all codes on my account...he says why do you pay on line 707 ******? I said because he doesnt have unlimited sms and he averages about 700 a month...he said the code he has is old...that has the unlimited sms in it...for free...as a test he removed the sms 5 dollar option and said look at your usage tomorrow...I will add it back if you see 100 tomorrow...well today that line still shows unlimited.... So again the code that is hardcoded is the vision code that says pic and pictures...

I am not sure why after 1 year reps dont know what grandfathering items are and how to check.....But I wanted to let everyone know when you are talking to retention about other things the option is available.....I recently added a phone thru telesales ...an old code was used on the new phone...by mistake I guess.

When I lost my unl sms about a year ago, I must of talked to 30 people including some vision specialist, they swore up and down that they couldn't get the old code back on there, they tried every thing. They finally gave in and gave me unl vision, unl. pics with the 100 sms for $5.
I think it worked out better this way, there is no way in hell that am calling cs and going down this road again it just isn't worth it.

Wouldn't you have to wait until a new billing cycle to really see if you are still unlimited?

I didnt call for that reason...The rep started looking at my account because when I changed my plan ...rep one changed the number...thats what started this discovery...the rep simply looked at the account and found the codes used were old...and had the grandfathering...

My reason for the thread was to info others...not have anyone call and go thru the fire again.

The services were removed next business day when changes are made like vison and sms ...those will definately updated in the usage on the web....Nit only that the code are the same one on my other share lines who are receiving unlimited and have been for 3 months...

If you have vision it is 5 dollars additional....Retention offers can be from free to 5 dollars I imagine.

hey MsRandall do you think it could be a similar situation with ul Picture Mail, regular CS is giving me a run around about mine. It should be grandfathered into my plan like it has been.

Oh also does anyone know the direct line to the retention dept. I keep getting normal CS every time I try the normal way through.
