View Full Version : Who's the best golfer in the world and why?

Is it Tiger Woods, or has Vijay Singh taken the reins? Do you think there is anyone else in the category of those two players?

I personally think Tiger is still the best their is and the best there has ever been. Any Tiger haters out here? :Popcorn2:

tiger woods is such a talented athlete. he can drive the ball. and far. i will say that he hasnt been as consistent as when he first came on the scene, but he still manages to compete at a level matched only by a few golfers in the world.

I think Tiger is still the best active golfer. He is the one golfer that deserves some credit for launching the PGA into the popular pro sports venue that it is now.

I like Tiger, but I do not believe he is the best ever... I would have to go with Jack Nicklaus on that. Tiger has a long career ahead of him, but he has not been the same the last couple of years.

That's why I put active golfer in there. The best ever would have to be Jack Nicklaus.

Although I wouldn't mind taking a few lessons from either - my vote goes to Phil Mickelson - One of the most consistant players on the tour.

most talented and best are two different things. tiger and phil could be the most talented, but right now, i'd say vijay singh is the "best". he should be the #1 ranked player in the world if not for the inane ranking system golf uses.

Right now I think it's a toss up between Tiger and Vijay. Tiger missed the cut 2 weeks ago and Vijay missed it last week at the Memorial Tournament. When Tiger met his girlfriend/wife it seemed that his game slipped a little bit. I think Tiger will turn it around and dominate like he used to. Phill Mickelson has improved his game and is up there as well.

Tiger, hands down. Vijay play's damn near everyweek, and against some of the weakest fields.
