I know there are lots of threads about grandfathered vision but couldn't find much of a decisive answer on this. I currently have grandfathered vision. $15 for the vision picture pack with unlimited texts and the $5 download credit. I never have much use for the $5 credit. I would ideally like to remove that credit from the package and keep my unlimited texts. Has anyone been able to sucessfully do this or should I just not take the risk? If not does anyone have any suggestions on how to spend the credit, I feel like I am wasting it now and can't seem to find much that really looks good on there.

Leave it, they can't be seperated. Its like removing the beans from a taco bell borrito after the fact.

Yeah, that's what it was seeming like. What do you guys usually use with these credits? Most of these applications seem pretty worthless.

...your alternative is to pay $10 for Vision with no credits and five for unlimited...but why you would want to do that is beyond me...

This may seem like a stupid question, but i just recently changed my plan from one that I had had since 2002. I had originally had the unlimited vision for $10, and upgraded to one of the picture packs with video mail and unlimited text messaging. I've never had download credits before, so how exactly do I know if I have them/ how to use them?

Picture packs come with five, but if you aren't getting charged an extra five ($20 total) for the video mail, the credit may not apply. If the plan change was within this billing cycle, you will need to call to verify, otherwise it will show up in your plan when you logon to sprintpcs.com.

you probably just got screwed, if you changed from the old vision that was $10 grandfathered...
I bet you don't have grandfathered sms anymore.

...be aware that for non-cameraphone people, the $10/no credit is a welcome change...

what on earth does that have to do with whether or not you have a camera phone?

Garmin Mobile, Zagat, Vindigo, and Wine Spectator are all really good apps...there are a million good sports apps as well...depends on your needs/likes...you can also download games...they have some pretty good oldies like poker, scrabble, boggle, craps, blackjack, etc...
it would be foolish to even attempt to give up a $5 credit...it's found money...try a new app every month, or find an app you really like with a recurring fee and offset it with your recurring credit...
