My screen is having major problems, the left half has a light blue tint, the right half is fine. I'm thinking about making a claim with lockline. Has anyone used them recently? I think its $50 to make the claim, is this correct?

Will they send me a new one right away and do they still make us send back the old phone?

Also, are people getting refurbished or new i500 units, if refurbished, what sort of condition have they been in?

Thanks,
Jason

lockline is full of surprises, you might get a treo 600 or 650.

or maybe an i600, but if it is a refurb it will be in great condition.

that will be a disaster, i600 has horrible battery & it freezes a lot

Chances are you will get a refurbished i500. But it will be fine. The refurbs are pretty good....just had my 650 replaced. :)

I want an i500, nothing else= they better not stick me with a treo.

I just called Lockline and they said because it is a screen problem then it should be covered under the Total Equipment enhanced portion of the insurance. They say to take it to a Sprint store that they will replace it because its phone damage. He said the guys at the SPCS store should fix or replace. I'm betting $50 when I go to a SPCS store they're going to tell me to call Lockline.

Anyone familiar with this total equip. ehnanced feature Lockline is telling me?

It would be great if I walked into SPCS store and they give me a new phone, although I doubt it.

I'd think that it would only cost $10 to make a claim since that's wear and tear. Is that what the TEP is that they're talking about?

the TEP is the 4 or 5 bucks amonth u pay for insurance.. if u walk into a sprint store they WILL replace it or repair it. they wont tell you to call lockline.

the tep is $2 of the $5 dollars you pay for insurance. Lockline is the other $3. This way you have a cheaper deductible and it can be taken care of right in the store. If it were a broken hinge or a smashed phone, or of course lost or stolen, thats locklines dept.

I'd be hoping for the most expensive phone. Then sell it, pocket the profit and buy the i500.
