Hi,
I'm new to the forum and have a question. It is my understanding that the PCSVision plan (for $15 extra a month) is for being able to send/receive pictures, ringtones, wallpaper, etc. Do I understand correctly? Without this service can these things still be loaded onto a phone? If yes then how?
Thanks,
Dave

yes you can without the vision pack the same way, but then you pay per amount of data, i am not sure of what the rates are tho. it'd be better to keep the vision pack.

If you do Vision without a pack, you need to go into settings to disable it when you're done if you want the charges to stop...data still gets passed...

So vision doesn't add functionality it's just a pricing scheme for it? A flat monthly rate as opposed to a per byte data charge?

...not sure I get your question...
Vision = internet on a Sprint phone...no Vision, no internet so I would have to say that it does add functionality.
I hear tell there's a ten dollar Vision plan. It works like your home internet, use it whenever you want with no hidden charges or airtime usage.
I had the Premium Pack before I got my camera phone...$15, plus $10 credit toward downloads.
Pictures Pack is the same price, the difference is you can send unlimited pics to any email address...and the credit is only five dollars.
Professional Pack has other benefits for the same price...like Business Connection...
Multimedia Pack is a plus if you want streaming video on your phone.

Your answer confused me (probably because I didn't ask the question right) so please allow me to rephrase:
The PCS Vision plan ($15/month) doesn't add functionality, it's just a pricing scheme for using the functions. True or False? If this is true then is there a way to take advantage of the Vision features in the phone without the PCS Vision plan?

yes it's a pricing scheme. if you don't have vision unlimited plan then you pay per kb. that's it.

...be sure you disable Vision when you are done...you pay for ALL data that passes through the phone...
