Ok, this is my first review here too but I do consider myself a quasi expert because I go through phones like homemade chocolate chip cookies. That being said I like the LG 535 better than any other phone I have owned from sprint since I started with them 4 years ago.

I just "upgraded" from the mm-5600 by sanyo which i thought was a good phone, but definately overpriced because it failed to deliver on the camera and video recorder. I'll do some rankings for you guys , here we go...

Phone Design:
-i like the slide. hopefully it hold up over time but it is sleek and new. every other phone ive had is a flip and although ive never had a problem with any of them, i have to admit the slide has the "cool" factor

Winner- 535

Camera:
-the 5600 took beautiful pictures, unfortuantely you needed to be in direct sunlight or a well lit room for the lens to read images properly. The 535 takes pictures that are just as good and works much better in less light

winner- 535

Video
-5600 video was average, the sound quality on them was terrible but you could record as long as you wanted, a plus. the 535 takes great video, good sound but only 15 secs long even with the mini sd- that is a joke.

winner - 535 (because of quality)

Media -
:both phones had similar media players and i think the internal speaker was louder on the 5600 so in terms of music alone the 5600 edges out the 535.

winner 5600

games:
if you play a lot of games on your phone you will love the 5600 . it has nice big buttons and a huge screen. the 535 has a good sceen but the buttons are tiny and make it a little harder to play

winner - 5600

Sound quality on calls
- I had no problem with my 5600 on calls and have had no problems with the 535 either

winnner- tie

In my opinion the 535 is the best non pda phone out there but sprint still has not gotten it all together yet, but im sure they will. Why not let us play music as ringers and why omit things from phones like ready link on the 535 and speakerphone from the new samsung 2.0 mp phone. it feels like we are just being toyed with until somebody steps it up and delivers a flaswless package.
