I'm not seeing good feedback on the controller, myself. All I can say is that it must somehow be comfortable and produce an overall good experience. That's the only way Sony could get away with that thing. Based on what I'm seeing, I hope it can use the PS2's dual shockers, somehow.

There will probably be some 3rd Party company releasing a "multitap" type thing, or just a single adapter, that'll let you use the old controllers with the new PS3. I seriously doubt Sony will be able to use DualShock, since even a vastly different form will probably incorporate some "illegal" tech, owing to that lawsuit.

I just can't see Sony paying Microsoft for every DualShock-capable controller and game sold.

Skip the PS3 yeah I will get one but I am looking more forward to the release of the new nintendo game system. Wifi built in so you can access hundreds of old Nintendo titles and play online. That excites me a little more than just a basic upgrade of a system like the XBOX and PS3 its like an 8100 and the 8200 yeah some differences but the same thing

Why people like Blu-Ray, I don't know. The first data layer is only .1mm deep! Breathe on it and the thing is useless!

I wouldn't call the PS3 and Xbox360 simple "upgrades"... The processors and graphics cards going into them are currently more powerful than ANYTHING oon the market short of supercomputer and ultra-pro level hardware. I mean, you can't get processors like those yet, and the graphics cards are LITERALLY out of this world.

Check out some of the videos from IGN (ps3.ign.com). Some amazing stuff, including actual rendered videos, not prerecorded ones. Cannot wait. I won't touch the 360 (never bought the original), but the Nintento Revolution looks promising, too.

But if I had to blow $300-500 on a console, definately Sony.

The controllers to some may look funky, but they are actually a really nice design. Very comfortable and yet stylish. If you look at it carefully, its like a remake of the old Alps pad for the PSX and that was considered the 'Escalade' of controllers in its day.

Why would I buy when I can build? Alienware is nice for games, but do they have SCSI controllers on their boards? No. Infunctional versions of RAID can kiss my ass.

you have not heard of the law suit on that have you? Sony can not sell the dual shock controllers anymore so the PS3 can not be made to have the dual shocks able to use.
