Sprint PCS with Palm T5 and LG 325 DUN Configuration How to

Hello,

I just got a T5 and a Sprint PCS LG 325 phone. I wanted to see if I could surf using it and it turns out after much digging I can! So now I can travel and surf the web :)

Requirements/Components:

1. Sprint PCS plan with Sprint PCS Vision
2. LG 325 Phone (Has Bluetooth)
3. Palm Tungsten T5


Preliminary Check

1. Does your LG 325 phone have the latest firmware version?
a. Click on Menu->Settings->Phone Info->S/W Version
i. Verify it ends with and 18 or greater
1. Mine has PM325V18
b. If it does not end in 18 or greater then you need to upgrade the firmware version. Don’t worry it is easy to doJ
i. Click on Menu->Settings->Setup/Others->Update Phone SW
1. Just follow the instructions.
2. It should take about 5 minutes tops
2. Do you have your PCS Vision Name and password handy?
a. Log on to www.sprintpcs.com with your phone number and password
i. If you have never done this please do so
b. Once logged in Click on My Personal Information
i. Set up the PCS Vision User Name
1. It is usually <something>@sprintpcs.com
ii. Set up the PCS Vision Password
1. Note you must have your phone on to complete this process.
2. Turn on the phone if you have not already done so.
3. Enable Bluetooth
a. On Palm Pilot Click on Prefs->Bluetooth
i. Enable it
b. On LG 325 Menu->Bluetooth->Enable Bluetooth
c. On Palm Pilot Click on Prefs->Connection->New
i. Give it a name (LG 325)
ii. Connect to is a phone
iii. Via is Bluetooth
iv. Hit tap to Find
1. You should see your LG 325
2. Select the LG 325
v. Model is irrelevant, but mine was Ericsson T39m,
vi. Hit ok
d. On Phone Click on Menu->Bluetooth->Add New->Waiting & Pairing
i. Enter a pin when asked to
e. On Palm Pilot Click on Prefs->Bluetooth
i. Click on Setup Devices
1. Click on Phone Setup
ii. Click on PM325 by LG (You should see this if Bluetooth is enabled)
1. Click Next
2. Manufacturer and Model are irrelevant, pick any
3. Click next
4. Select PM325 by LG
5. Click Next
6. Create 4 digit pin to be same pin as the phone pin
7. Should see Phone connection setup was successful
iii. Do you want to setup device to connect to internet?
1. Click Yes
2. Click Next
3. Select no for Subscribe to high speed data
4. Click next
5. Click next again
6. Type #777 after Phone #:
a. Phone #: #777
7. Username is the username from PCS Vision
8. Password is password from PCS Vision
9. Click Next
10. You should see dial-up was successful
11. Click done
4. Ready to surf
a. From Palm, Click Bluetooth
b. Click Dial up to ISP under network setup
c. Click connect
d. Start surfing :)

Nope; just helped BT connection issues with devices (I believe that was all).

But, No OBEX is for sure.

Great instructions! If you're having problems after following them, don't forget to update your profile in your phone. settings/pcsvision/update vision profile
