very strange issue im having with my sanyo 5600.. i use a card reader to load media on my card because i use a macintosh. the files play perfect..but, when i enter my media player in my phone, there is a zero kilobyte duplicate of every file on my card... they look identical to the real files but dont play. using my 16MB card this isnt much of a problem since i only have like 4 or 5 files on there at once, and its easy to sift through the fakes... but since im planning on ordering my 1GB card soon, this would be a major headache...and when i explore my card through my OS the "ghost" files are not there...
did a quick search and it seems im alone on this problem? anyone run into anything similar? HELP MAY!!!! :bang:

I too have that problem. I am new to this phone and I tried to connect directly with the phone. I couldn't transfer mp3's or other data with a direct connection from the phone, although the mini disc did mount. I could mount and transfer when the mini disc was taken out of the phone and used with a card reader. However, I too received the duplicate file. It may be a function of how the card works with OSX. I will post a fix if I can find one.

It's a mac thing, it creates a duplicate file that the os uses to locate the file, sucks, but the only workaround is to use a pc or vpc to clean it up. Sucks for us mac users.

yeah i am having the same problem. the guy at the sprint store said that he could transfer files from his mac to his 5600 through the data cable. i cant get that to work though? but he also said he was running 10.4 and i am still on 10.3. maybe if someone could figure out how to transfer the files through the data cable it would not create the duplicate files? i am also having problems getting movies converted to watch on my phone. i got the video to work but i cant get the audio. anybody know how to do this on a mac?
