Ringtones are overpriced, sound crappy, and are way too short.

Interesting news articles, but the carriers need to stop kidding themselves. If a full song costs $.99 on iTunes, a ringtone should cost a penny. $.25 should be the maximum cost ever for a ringtone.

Making matters worse is the crap Jamster is schlepping. A creepy looking blob "sweety the chick" singing some annoying song, a perverted, "horny" rhino telling people to shake their thing, a stupid looking dragon singing the captivating lines of true romance: "Here I am, look at me, it is now or never." (You had me at "look at me!")

The entire ringtone market is horrendous- preying off of stupid little kids. If my kids ever purchased a ringtone, I'd be sure to beat everyone involved in the transaction senseless. (And a time out for the kid.) Sure, the kid is dumb for purchasing the ringtone, but $3.00 for a damn sound clip is insanity.

definetly, but thats why there are free ringtones sites (thank god)... but I agree 2.50 is REDICULOUS for a ringtone and it also expires in 90 days.
