I finally made my own ringer from an MP3 (thanks Deval) and I uploaded it to my Sanyo 5600. The problem is, the ringer went to the OTHERS folder and I can't use it as a voice mail/email notification. I can use it as a ringer (caller ID, no caller ID, phone book, etc.) but I can't use it as a voice mail / email notification.
Is there any way to upload a ringer and make it go to the ringers section?
Thanks.

Did you change it from a mp4 extension to a m4a extension?

No, I did not. I hate to ask this, but can you explain how to change a file extension? I can change the name, but I have no clue how to change the extension.

goto tools->folder options and make sure to uncheck "hide file extension for known file types" Then rename to *.m4a.
* of course is what ever you want to name the ringtone
