View Full Version : What does Lockline replace a SE T608 with?

I have a Sony Erricson T608, and it's actually been a pretty good phone for me. Lately, I've had a lot of trouble with it. I have coverage with Lockline. If things finally complete break down on this phone, what would Lockline send me as a replacement?
I'm not sure if they have any more 608's. I'm hoping the replacment would have BT, along with the other basic features.
If anyone has a clue on this, please reply. TIA

You will get a 325, and you will go from 6 bluetooth profiles, to TWO bluetooth profiles.
Go have them do a master reset on the phone, it will clear up our problems.

BTW, do you know for sure I would get a 325 as a replacement, or is that a guess?
Well I thought that the 608 had full bluetooth and the only one comparable would be the 650 right?

not quite.....you don't replace a $200 BT phone with a Treo. the 325 is way more "comparable"
well i know the wouldnt automatically but i think that if u fought tha good fight you would come out on top

r u always this ignorant? from other posts I have seen of yours I would say so... I'm not saying lets go buy a POS nokia and drop it out of the 14th floor at the mariot, but lockline will replace something with one of "comparable features" ONLY the treo has FULL UNCRIPLED bluetooth! the 325 sure as hell dosnt so if you're gonna be that negative keep it to yourself or PM it to me.

There is no way they would give you a treo, that's like giving the dodge dealer your neon that's under warranty and asking for a viper to replace it... no matter how much you argue, it isn't going to happen... Not trying to be rude, just giving an analogy.

well I understand that, and I also understand the enormous price difference but you also have to put all prices aside and think that it is THE ONLY phone with the same features! So they can't go back on their policy.

well i know that sprint consists of a lot of like up tight b*tches but still, I'm not saying they are gonna send it to her but still, I'm saying that I think you get get it if you pushed it enough.

Sprint has nothing to do with this, it's lockline.
The certificate/contract does not discriminate against the price of the phones. As long as the devices are under $1,000 there isn't a problem. The argument lies in "comparable device" convincing the rep that the treo is more comparable than the 325 is the trick.
Had there been no 325, the user would receive the 650 without a problem.
With some luck they can get the treo. I doubt it though.

Many people went from the sanyo 5300 to 5500 though. I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled this off. If you want to send something via obex you simply cannot do that with a Lame 325.

a buddy of mine started with the old Kyocera Palm and Lockline replaced it with a Samsung i330 and then replaced it with a Samsung i500 since the hands free car kit for the Kyocera Palm didn't have an adaptor for the i330. Pretty nice upgrade from an old Kyocera Palm to the i500. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and the difference between what we pay for these phones and what Sprint or Lockline pays for these phones is probably huge and they are probably refurbished.

You still can't send via OBEX with the Treo currently, and there is no DUN (unless you download a hacked ROM from shadowmite).

Sorry my original question started this rumble :irked: In any case, I'm going to work with my local Sprint store to fix my T608. I may buy a used PM-325 in the mean time, as it would actually meet my needs (I really only use BT with a headset).
I like the 608 myself, other than the battery life :headbang2 It has been a good phone.
