I purchased this DVD burner to replace the DVD/CDRW combo drive that originally came in my Dell 700m laptop. It has been used once, and works great. I decided to keep the DVD/CDRW drive, and use an external firewire DVD burner, instead of this internal drive. This drive is ready to go right into a 700m laptop, and possibly others as well. I am not making any promises as to it fitting into any other laptop other than the 700m, so check with Dell on your own. $180 FIRM (shipping and insurance included).
