In my estimation, the original Metal Gear for NES was the hardest, most difficult game I have ever played. what about the rest of ya's? Post your favorite games to hate.

Metal Gear Solid for PS was pretty hard without some of the cheats

Every Metal Gear and Splinter Cell.
Each new one is harder than the previous, IMHO. :furious:
I would agree with Metal Gear Solid as well...

MIKE TYSONS PUNCH OUT!!! I have NEVER gotten past that stupid Sandman character. I just go the nes emulator on my xbox, and i started playing again, and i STILL can't beat him now that im older and wiser. F*CK the sandman. Sorry, had to vent.
Other than that, if we're gonna talk something newer, try like NFL2k5 on the hardest setting (legend i think). Freakin difficult.

I'd have to say Halo 2 on legendary is quite difficult. Also, Maniac Mansion for the original NES was tough.

I have yet to beat Halo 2 on Legendary. I stopped trying once I realized the odds were *BEYOND* against me. There's one room you come to where I just don't have enough ammo and/or weapons/grenades to beat them. It's one of the Pelican Hangers, where you have to beat waves that come out of the boarding craft. I REALLY dislike that all your old weapons disappear. Halo 2 is just a bad game, and badly realized, in my opinion.
The end boss of Legend of Zelda 2 is pretty damn hard to beat. It took me a whole summer.

Metal Gear solid, Devil May Cry 3, and just getting the Gold licenses in GTA3 was hard. I remember after months and months of trying to get the gold Licenses, once I got them my little brother deleted the entire memory card. I wanted to kill him. I was 60% done in GTA3 when that happened.

That brings back memories, that game took me months to beat..now 10 years later I will still take a weekend once a year to beat it again. I can usually get through the last palace with out getting hit and take out the thunder bird and shadow with out losing a life.. call it an obsession, but zelda 2 is by far the greatest game ever made.
.. i know what im doing this weekend

When they released that Gauntlet game for Xbox, my brother picked it up, since it was one of the only interesting games he didn't have in that primordial Xbox time, and the game SUCKED. I loved the riginal Gauntlet, but the new was stupid. Then we got to a part we couldn't pass because we didn't have a key, so we returned the game and got credit.
I seem to remember a jump I could never make in some Donkey Kong Game Boy game. That was never played again, after a few hours of the same jump. The original Game Boy, not even pocket.

When I was younger I used to always say "Warrior needs food badly" when I was in a chat room and would leave to eat. Then, I stopped frequenting that place, and I stopped by a few months later and everyone had stolen it. Oh well.

Hrmmm...All those games proved to be difficult, but not too incredibly hard except the original Metal Gear on NES...That game drove me NUTS...Took me over 3 months to beat it...And I don't cheat at all. I like to go through and beat it without help first, just as a personal goal.

My co worker said the original MG on NES he could only beat it by cheating..I busted out laughing as he told me that since it was 2D and you were still to hide, sometimes you thought you were but you were not.

halo 2 on legendary becomes much easier when u use the charged shot with the plasma pistol on the elites following up by a well placed head shot with the battle rifle.

i don't really play video games anymore, but i bought ninja gaiden on xbox for my little bro and that game is one tough cookie. the first boss in the game is pretty much the toughest or second toughest boss in the game!
hardest from my playing days: Ninja Gaiden for NES... levels 6-2, 6-3 are absolutely insane!! then you get one try to beat the last 3 bosses successively (levels 7-2,3,4). if you don't beat them all, back to 6-2!!
Zeeshan, for MTPO, use 'save states', at the push of a button you can save and restart from that exact point. i needed save states to beat Mike Tyson.
