Sanyo VI-2300 - any more news?

When will this phone be out? According to the ad in the magazine someone posted at hofo last week, the ad said avaailable at Best Buy after 5/15.

Is 5/15 the earliest we might see this phone? I'd like to compare it to the 125.

I spoke to my Sanyo rep last month and he said it should be out in a month or two. "Color Phones" is going to be a major focus for sanyo this year coming out with 6 different colors. Thats going to be pretty awesome. Soon sprint will be a rainbow company... :headbang2

I just got this months Maxim magazinevand there is an ad for the 2300 in the magazine. It shows all 4 colors and the phone looks pretty cool. The BLUE ICE color looks really cool.

Yah I think its gonna be a great seller because not everyone needs a camera, but a speaker phone is very useful, and having different colors will help in sales

Hopefully the sucessor of the 8200 will come in colors similar the 2300. That ice blue on a cam phone would be hot.

I just recieved this email from a sanyo rep about the color releases:

The blue ice should be available this week. Next week will be the champagne rose and graphite gray. The satin red and forest green will be at the end of June. Unfortunately, Sanyo Fisher is unable to supply local store stock information since all handsets are shipped directly to the SprintPCS main warehouse. We suggest that you contact your local store in the next two weeks for color availability or next month for the other colors.
