So, my 8200's pin charger went out a while ago so i went out and bought a new charger, not the pin one, and now that one doesn't even work. For a while i would hold it at an angle for it to work and i used some rubber bands and things, but now that doesn't work, and my phone is just dead and wont recharge. Not really sure what to do, i've tried buying a new charger, i've tried going to the sprint store. Is there anyway to charge a battery not thru the bottom 2 ports, like a destop charger type of thing? The guy said there wasn't a tech and that infact, the water mark on the back of my phone indicated a little water, so he wasn't even sure if it was under warranty. Any suggestions would help, as of right now I feel like I'm in the market for a new phone, is there still like a retention number? I have always been a really good customer, right now we give sprint about 150 a month, hopefully we will be able to work something out. always paid bills on time, all that. Please help don't want to buy a new phone at full price. .thanks.

If the phone's under a year old, I'd take it back to the store and press a little harder. There should be a store that will service the phone even if it isn't under waranty. If that fails, retension may be a good way to go, but I would think the other 2 ways are the most likely fixes. Do you have Lockline?

Are you still under a contract? If you are out of contract, perhaps you can work a deal with them if you sign up for a new contract. They could put a code in your account for an earlier rebate. Who knows? Don't give up though. . . :tu:

1 solution would be insurance if you got it on your ontract...2 if the phone is under 1 year old take it back...3 buy a new phone..4 see if they can fix it at the store

It depends on the damage to the phone...bring it to a full service store, and they can check it out, and see if its under warranty or not.
Best Buy had a decent desktop charger for my 8100. It won't work with the 8200 (I now have one of each phone), but I would suspect that they now carry desktop chargers for the 8200 as well. Someone once posted here a mod to the 8100 desktop charger (Dremel tool) so that the 8200 would fit in it.
