Help! With Sync problem

I am having trouble when I add contacts in the palm desktop software and then sync my phone, the contacts are not added to the phone.

Whats the deal or what am i doing wrong?

check the log file. hotsync manager in your system tray > log. it will show you what was 'ok' and what was interrupted and why in most cases.

Are you using Outlook or Palm Desktop?

Also,

You need to check your Hotsync (HS) options Setup.

Once the initial setup is complete and HS Manager puts the stuff on your phone, there's a good chance it resets.

This means that initially, HS Manager writes to the phone. Afterwards, it may change to the Handset overwriting the HS program.

You need to go into the Hotsync drop down up where it says "File Edit View, ect."
Click on Hotsync, then choose either Setup or Custom. Then you change chance the options from "Handset Overwrite HS" to "Syncronize".

This will make sure everything you added to your handset and everything you added to the HS Manager will sync and will be on both programs.

Also, Make sure you select what options you want to put on your handset as well. You may need to click on a box that says Address Book. Or it will never work.

I believe this is your problem and will solve it all.

Thanks for the help, got it working now. I dont know why it wasnt working but i re-installed it and it started working fine.
