They sent me a brand new one with all of the included accessories (ie the charger, memory card, and the data cable)

I'd take a 535 from lockline for my 5600 in a heartbeat!

You guys are ridiculous with your fears about refurbs. I've gotten 2 or 3 refurb phones in 8 years of sprint service, and everytime, they've worked better than the brand new ones i've gotten from stores.
Who cares if its been previously activated or not. If they refurbished it, it will work just fine. In fact my current Treo 650 is a refurb unit, and i haven't had a single reset issue with it yet (3 weeks of use at least). The new one i had before this was a totally different story.
You really shouldn't worry about refurb or not....the phone will work.

I agree with you, refurbs usually are ok. Despite being on my third Treo 650 from lockline.
#1. P button didn't work
#2. IR didn't work, screen scratch
Third on it's way, but I keep the faith.

Uh...when you did whatever you did to your first 5600 was it "brand new", did you claim on Lockline the day you opened the 5600 or had you been using it? I mean did you break the seal on the plastic and immediately lose it or break it?
Point being the phone was used when you made the claim, what would be wrong with accepting a "used" phone as a replacement?
i will accept a used one, never said i wouldnt!i said who wouldnt want a new one if they could help it....

I would never take a used phone, I think its gross! I mean I guess you could wipe it down with a lysol wipe but with my luck it would come with the ebola virus built right in! lol
