There was a customer in my store that came in with a 5600 that lockline had sent him on an insurance claim to replace the 5300. I couldnt believe it....The guy had no idea what he was holding in his hand..so I ninja kicked him and took it. naa, but hilarious nonetheless

That's not the first time I've heard of this.

2 people that had 5300's were both upgraded in the last 3 weeks to 5600's after one broke his 5300 and the other lost his.

That's a heck of an upgrade and both were new in box as well.

Wished I still had my 5300, but that was so 2003!

I offered to trade one of them for my 5500, but once he realized what he could do with it, he decided to keep it. Darn!

Wonder what they are upgrading P300's for. My friends sister broke hers and is waiting for Lockline to show up. We'll see!

5300 to 5500 to 7400 to 5600....That's what I was told is the replacement progression either at LockLine or the stores.

If not available they go to the next one on the list.

We all know lockline has 5500s, so why wouldn't they replace a 5300 with 5500? why go as far as a 5600????

Believe me, sometimes there is nothing you can do, believe or understand why Lockline does what it does.

Believe me, I have had unbelievable luck w/ Lockline.

Sanyo 4700 = Sanyo 5150

Kyocera 6035 = Thera 2032, then traded in for a Treo 600

Samsung I300 = Kyocera 6035

Sanyo 6000 = Brand new in box 7300

Sanyo 5150 = Brand new in box 5300

Kyocera 2345 = New in box P300

Kyocera 6035 = Got a TP1100 for it, after some gripping and
complaining, got another Thera 2032 which turned into
a NIB Samsung I330, inturn got another Treo 600

Sanyo 5300 = NIB Sanyo 5500

Kyocera 6035 = I500 x 2, then got another Treo 600 at the store.

As you can see, I haven't had but one issue w/ lockline and then they made it right, so I sure will not ever complain.

The funny thing was, When I turned in my Sanyo 6000, I expected at the best, a Sanyo 6200 or 6400 and got the NIB 7300. I called lockline to make sure there was no mistake, and when I told the guy I got a 7300 for a 6000, he thought I was complaining at first, but I told him "DUDE! I love this phone, I was just surprised I got it for the 6000! Why?"

He said "Merry Christmas in July!"

So, Please dont' think you know what you'll get, cause You will never know until you unwrap the box!

Circuit City, on the other hand, didn't want to replace my 5300 at all unless Sprint certified it as malfunctioning. When I went to a local store and complained, the best they could get me was a refurbished 5300. I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones.

And yes, before you ask, I was quite calm and polite until they refused to replace the phone--more than 2 years into the 3-year service plan, with no calls on it up until that time. (I was still civil after that, but annoyed rather than calm. Keep in mind that the service plan promised a simple, almost no-questions-asked approach toward replacement.)
