sanyo 4920-very warm??

Has anyone noticed that the 4920 gets very very warm when just adding phone numbers? I am not talking about the warmth of the amplifer/receiver during use. Mom just got one and her old 4700 didn't get warm like that and my 4900 doesn't get warm when just accessing the phone book.. let me know thanks..

when i had tha 4920 it worked fine, probly a defective phone

thanks for the response.. just needed someone else to confirm it wasn't normal.. figured it might be defective.. the old 4900 didn't do that at all.. only unless you were talking for awhile like an hour.. thanks again

It's not too unusual for a phone to get warm while under constant use, especially if charging at the same time.

If it's too hot to touch, it's defective.
If you weren't charging it at the time, it might be defective.
If it was between very warm and uncomfortable to the touch and you were using it and charging, I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah it wasn't charging at the time.. and it wasn't as hot as a fry pan, but it was almost getting close to a toaster warmth.. very warm and uncomfortable..so yeah i think it's bad too, going to get another tomorrow and see.. my old 4900 when charging would get slightly warm, i'm used to that warmth. but thanks for the input..
