Is picture mail part of vision? I was trying to send my daughter a picture that I took with my phone and it said I need a password. I've had the phone 2 months and I have downloaded ringers and that is all. I looked at the web a couple of times but I don't know what to do with it and had no luck finding a page. But..I wondered if I would like sending pictures and if it was easy.

Help anyone..do I have to call in to get a password for sending pictures?

There was some thread where Dave mentioned that he had that kind of new Picture Mail addy.....and the online pictures site was looking different.

Also, Picture Mail password is seperate from the Vision password. You will need to create one. Have you been to https://pictures.sprintpcs.com yet?

well one day last week they had updated the new picture mail website but for some reason now they are back to thier old one. On the new picture mail site they have a new feature with email and let you create your own email address for when u send pictures. Im not sure why they disabled the new picture mail site. I thought I was going crazy since I was the only person who happened to catch it

lol...yeah, i started that one too. didn't think they might have been related, but perhaps. i was able to log in today and change my reply address back to 999999999@messaging.sprintpcs.com from the one that it was changed to. so its fine now, but not sure how it got changed. but now that you mention the new picture site, maybe it was because i logged in when the new format was in effect and somehow that changed it.

Weird, i too logged in when they had the new site up for an hour or so, things did not load correctly for me tho and all my images were broken, but now when i send picture mail my address has changed to username@pm.sprint.com, i kinda like it that way so i didnt change it back.

ah, so it happened to you too? that must be it then. for some reaons when we logged in when the site was revamped the reply address got changed.
i didn't like it mainly because you can't reply back to it. sometimes when i send pics to friend's email address they simply hit reply and i can get a text response. i was hoping the new @pm.sprint.com address would even allow emailing of picutres to my phone, but at least at this time it couldn't even reply text.

That's what I was wondering......if the new addy would bring that. Then again, it doesn't seem to be released yet; perhaps when everything is released, we shall have those features (and perhaps more).

Is there a way to make the picture a screen saver..so it will go to the screen saver place. I don't want to use it now but I want it in the screen saver file. If I set it as a screensaver..it becomes one but when I change it..it doesn't go to the screen saver file..but back to saved picture( understand that anyone?)

Yup, glad to see they've finally re-rolled out the new format. Hopefully they'll KEEP it there, this time.

looks like it might stay this time...lol.
another cool benifit of this new email address that can accept pictures is its a step closer to cross carrier support, at least a bit closer than pixtopix. now my dad can send to the address instead of my pixtopix address. :joy:

you can use it as a screen saver, but you cannot move it to the screen saver folder

Yea..that's what I was able to do..but I was hoping there was a secret way to move it to the screen saver file.

Thanks for confirming..

I'm likin' the new format. It looks more refined now. They did erase access to the old comments and sent messages though. Not the ability to view any comments/messages, just the old ones we had before the change.

I noticed on the address at the end of a picturemail you recieve it now says MMS, does this mean soon we will be able to send pictures to other carrier's using MMS?

now that would be sweet. I'm gonna try it with my friend that has Cingular. But I'm assuming they can't send it to just the phone number and they'd have to send it to the blah@pm.sprint.com email address.
