View Full Version : How long does Vision/SMS take to activate?

Hello,

I just bought an LG phone last night and this morning decided to re-activate vision to 2 of 3 lines. Seems simple. I called cust solutions and said it was added. I tried it first on the new phone and it kept asking for a password. Tried several times and nothing. I tried different passwords. I did all the "steps" prior to calling cust solutions again since they hardly are a help anyway. i.e. taking batt out, turning phone off, reseting pics, resetting phone. etc. Nothing. I tried it on my original vision phone sanyo 8100. and nothing. However after i did a pic token reset, it worked. i tried it again on the new LG phone. Nothing. Called cust soln again. They said theyll text a new password to use for the pictures. Nothing. have been working on this for nearly 4 hours now. I text the LG phone from the Sanyo and nothing. No SMS? I text the Sanyo from the LG and it works. So i can send out SMS, but cant receive. I cant do anything w/ the pictures and wireless web works fine. Called cust solutions again. I dunno what she did, but she told me to reset pics again. I did. Check PCS email via phone. Did and found new picture password. Was able to send a picture to the Sanyo.....But Still Cant receive pictures or SMS! I told her I wanted to SMS, not use PCS email. She said call back in about 4 hours and was unable to give me a reason why i couldnt receive SMS. I was able to goto sprint picture website and access the LG phone and when i did, there were other pictures there. Possibly for the previous owner?

What else can i do? How long do i need to wait to get full access of sending AND RECEIVING pics/SMS? Thanks. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Dude,go into your private account and set up/reset your VISION password on the sprintpcs.com website, via your desktop computer.This will cause the system to 're-authenticate/synchronize' your phone for vision purposes.Give it about 2 hours, then retry the picture thing again. If this does not work, then don't screw around with Cust svc; immediately ask to be transferred to vision tech support.Cust svc is a waste when you are having this much trouble...

when i activated vision, they said it'd be active within 24 hours, but about 10 minutes after i got off the phone with them, my phone said it was recieving network updates, and vision worked within 15 minutes of the call.

15 days and still no vision for me. 10+ calls, 10+ troubletickets and still nothing.

I gave up and don't use vision on my nokia
