I was wondering how to use T9 as default entry method for text messaging, if possible.

I don't use the PM-325 but from its manual (http://www.sprintpcs.com/support/guides/allPhones.html), particularly the menu tree on pp. 58, there does not seem to be a way to set that. On my phone (VM4050) it's in Setup / Messaging / Entry Mode.

It's interesting how Sprint has managed to impose some standards/conventions on the user interface of their phones, even across manufacturers. Has anyone noticed whether this extends to the structure of the Settings menus? Would the T9 entry mode setting, if it's settable on a particular phone, always be in the same location in the menu structure?

BTW, thanks for reminding me to start accumulating a checklist of features that I would want should I ever be tempted to replace this phone!
