I can't connect to Bitpim with my 5600 to do phone book and ringer transfers. Can someone help? I got Bitpim which said I needed a driver and then I went to this website:
to get he USB driver. When I plug my phone in, it gives me the choice of Picbrige, mass storage, and standby so I chose Standby. The computer then sees a USB device connecting and lets me go to the found new hardware wizard but when I browse to where the unzipped winxp drivers sit, the next screen says windows did not install the new hardware.
So how do I get the 5600 to work with Bitpim? Thanks.

it worked when i did it.....when you pick the xp drivers it first says, windows has not tested this driver and it might not work correctly....chose to install and then it worked fine....

Is there a guide or something? This is my first time doing this but from past experience, this shouldn't be hard. But Windows will not see/install the driver I linked to above. Can someone please take a sec to explaine how to get this going seeing as how there are no guides I was able to find on the net and without a driver, bitpim says it will not work and this driver seems to be not valid? Please? Anything? Enough of you out there have mentioned Bitpim in the past that someone has to have this working and I can not do more than install the driver at the link above yet it will not install as Windows simply acts like there are either no files in the foler I point to when installing the driver or as if the driver won't work for the phone. Where did you guys get your drivers and how did you get it working? I got my cable from dwoods-com on ebay and the disk was unreadable so he linked me to that link above.

Ok the problem is a driver. Can someone link me to a working driver they have gotten to work on their MM-5600?

I checked my PM (and thanks so much). For my computer, this may be a case where I'm either doing something wrong or I may need to reinstall Windows. I point the install new hardware wizard to the drivers and Windows acts as though the folder I point to is empty or has drivers that have nothing to do with the hardware and reports that the hardware was not installed because the software can not be found. Can it be possible that I have a new mM-5600 rev (though the phone just came out) that makes the drivers not work? Or is my Windows just being weird and need a reinstall? I know a few things where a reinstall works but I just can't conceive that a reinstall is gonna make the drivers I have suddonly install the MM-5600. But, I have no ither ideas as this point. If anyone else who got the drivers (futuredial I believe sanyo_modem_driver.zip) to work and had a similar problem where windows just wouldn't install the drivers when you pointed to them but got it fixed, please leme know how you did it. Also right-clicking on each of the 3 or 4 driver files and selecting "install" seems to install but really doesn't do much because when you plug the phone in and go into standby, it still pops up the found new hardware wizard that will once again say that the hardware was not installed when you point it to the location where the unzipped driver files sit.
