Hey, I don't think this has been mentioned, but if I'm repeating a post, all apologies.
I've been fiddling with QT Pro to make AAC ringers, and it's worked AWESOMELY for my 7400. However, I just discovered with my second ringer (and it turns out my first one as well) that when I converted to MP4, it cut off the last 2 seconds of the ringer. I had to add 2 full seconds of silence to get it.
It was odd, though - with the increase putting it at 2 extra seconds of silence, it not only didn't cut any sound off but kept going for nearly another full second of the silence!
So, in any case, the differential doesn't seem to equate. QTPro cut an exact 2 seconds off of the ringer, from 25.6s to 23.6s. When I added 2 seconds of silence, bringing it to 27.6, one would assume that it would just cut the 2 seconds of silence off, leaving me with the regular clip. But instead, it only cut 1.3 seconds of the silence off. It didn't really negatively affect the ringer too much, but the seemingly variable amount cut off from the end made me wonder. I thought it might be the length of the clip, but it wasn't even 30s long, and my first ringer was 27.7s long - when I checked that one, it had cut off a tiny bit at the end too.
Has anyone experienced similar end-cutting situations with QT Pro with their AAC ringers, and if so, have they discovered why it happens or what can fix or compensate for it (without adding useless silence)?
Just thought I'd check. Thanks.
