Dear Friends, Thank you for taking the time to view my post. Search as I may, all over this site, I can't seem to locate info. on the differences and similarities between the current version of the Sprint Yahoo Messenger app. and the regular wap version of messenger. Any input is appreciated.

I'm testing it right now. Seems you can get alerts to messages even when you're not logged in to the app. You can log into the app and exit it and you still appear as 'online' to your contacts. I've been receiving alerts via SMS when I don't have the app running. It looks a lot like the pc based version, just smaller. With the wap version, I experienced a lot of delay as you have to submit and reload the pages to get new messages and current contacts online instead of hearing a chime or whatever. And it never alerted me to new messages. Either way, as I'm not a huge fan of IMing on my cell, I'll probably cancel it. The wap version is good enough for the amount of chatting I do. Hope that helps

Well, do you know any sites that has the Yahoo IM app for free. If not how much is the app and where to find it on the DL section for sprint. I know its a monthly fee(I think).

Yeah I need to find it too. . . I think they are calling it just Yahoo MAIL right now at Sprint . . . or it's gone. Chaos, awesome info! That is exactly the information I was looking for. . . definitely getting the app. now if I can find it. Thanks again Chaos:-)

Free app site is: burmeisterbrown.com I've been using it for 2 months and it is great.It also lets you attach a picture with an IM. Any time I had a technical glitch, the developer responded promptly to help me fix it...
