Can someone plese test and see if they can send an SMS message from their SprintPCS phone to a hotmail email address. I can send SMS to any email address... Except hotmail. The message says it sends it.. But it never shows up in my hotmail email inbox. I tried multiple hotmail accounts and no one ever gets the message. Please let me know.

i tried a text message test about 10 minutes ago, and still nothing. but oldy i sent a picture share earlier in the day, and it comes from the same address (9999999999@messaging.sprintpcs.com) and the picture share came throgh. so maybe its just being delayed, or for some reason only the text messages aren't making it

Yea - Same thing happens to me.... Although, I waited 24 hours.. and still nothing from SMS in my hotmail. But, like you, picture mail comes through instantly. I dont think its a timing thing, because if you SMS a yahoo email address or any other one besides hotmail, it comes through immeadatly.

What if you add the from address:
{ten digit phone number}@messaging.sprintpcs.com
to your address book?

To my hotmail address book? Why would that matter? It is in my cell phone address book, that just makes it easier than typing the adress in each time as a recipient.

It's worth a shot. Maybe something about sprint's email addresses causes hotmail to block them. If you have the address in your hotmail addy book, it may bypass whatever is causing the block.
Then again, it doesn't show up in junk mail either... plus it still allows picturemail. Hmmm. Might wanna take it up with Sprint or Hotmail.

Yes. Hotmail uses a number of spam filters to keep UCE from inboxes. It is possible that the picture shares are getting past the spam filter, but not the text messages, due to content, headers, whatever.
Most email and webmail services whitelist any addresses in the user's address book. Whitelisted addresses aren't checked against spam filters. They just cruise on into your inbox.

NOPE - No go. I added it to my hotmail "safe" list and also added it to my hotmail address book.... Still does not work.....
