Hi i have had my picture mail account since may of 2003 and have not experienced any problems.Yet i recently switched to the sanyo 5600 and and everything worked great for about 2 weeks. Then 2 days ago i was unable to send pictures to an email address. Everytime i either get Error code C1 or C26. I have seen a few methods and am nervous to try anything because my main concern is if i reset something will all my pictures on my picturemail sever be erased. Currently i can access my pictures with out any problem from my computer. So someone please advise me as to what i should do. Thank you

I believe they just need to reset your pictures token it will not affect your online pictures. Call *2 and tell claire technical support it shouldn't take longer than a cpl minutes with a rep. I have had to do it a few times I switched to new phones when I got the same errors.

update: tried updateing picture token spoke to a sprint rep we could not get to the picture token at first finally i told them the code to do it w/o security lock they said i was not suppossed to know that but to do it anyway. So i tired clearing my picture token and it still does not work. i still get an error c1. I am currently on a trouble ticket. Has anyone else been through this before.
Yeah, try calling back again to get a different tech and go through the process again with them. This might seem a little aggravating but keep your cool and you might luck out as I have on several occasions. It feels like hitting the tech "sweet spot". Once your problem is fixed, it's surprisingly easy to forgive...

updated 3/29: okay i spent alot of time on the phone with the techs no help i got a trouble ticket set up and then i check out my picturemail account. I found out i had 9999 pictures/videos. I deleted one picture and one video and was able to send one pic and one video go figure. i called the tech back said cancel my trouble ticket and is there a limit on the pics thy said there was. what sucks now is i have to spend hours saving my pics to my harddrive and deleteing them. Anyone else ever have the problem??

Didn't know there was a # of pics limit, but I did know there is a storage size limit of your picturemail site, think it is 30MB or so...can't remember what they said....
I always found that when ya make a change and get some dumb error message that a simple reset of your vision password fixes the problem 8 out of 10 times.
Apparently sometimes, after some sorta change, the system can't "authenticate' your phone for some stupid reason, and doing something simple like a password reset(log into your private account on the PCS website to do a p/w reset) forces the sytem to search for your phone to 'authenticate" it or 'ping' it and voila: problem solved (most times....)
jewjew,I don't know if this would fix your problem, but I did notice you said you had recently made a change in phones, and that sparked my old memory of a conversation I had with a tech rep that seemd to know his shtuff; So maybe this info will help somebody in the future...

there is a limit of 9999 pics. it won't allow you to save more after that ...

its 10k-1 per album, c1 is picture token when any of the following dont match mdn, username, esn and pw.

menu > settings > security > enter lock code (last four of phone# is default) > reset pic account > send pic > enter in pw.
if it doesnt take the pw then either call *2 and have them send the pw to you or go to pictures.sprintpcs.com and click the 'i forgot my password' link and it will text message it to you.
if you still get it then you are locked out and need to call *2 to get it reset. it locks out after 10 tries with an invalid password, and unlike error 67, it locks out indefinitely, and tech support has to unlock it.

sprint store. sometimes reprogramming your phone number can reset it, but not always.

IF you have the msl the lock code can sometimes be found in ##data under "advanced." I'm pretty confident it's there for the a700. Oh, be sure not to change anything in there, there are things which when changed can't be undone without a reflash. Just view. Once you found the lock code you can change it in the security menu.
If not then "check" the phone number programming with a rep over the phone. They will read the msl off to do it and it will, probably, revert the lock code.

ahhhhh this is a big pain!!!!!!!! I swapped numbers recently when I got a new phone. Rep told me to go to web and reset password. Didn't work. Tried going to website but the problem is my picture mail was setup on the number I dumped. Sure it can send me my password but to a number that I don't have!!!!!!!!! Here we go again...a day spent on the phone getting this fixed.

anytime the phone is swaped on an account you have to again go thru the process of registering for the pic mail w/ the new phone. once this is done you will not have to do this again until you make another phone change. make sure you use the current pic mail password when registering with the new phone. if this is not done then you will get the dreaded c1 errors. now if a ticket had to be done then something went wrong w/ your username or as i read elsewhere too many pic uploads. keep in mind that yahoo also has a free pic mail site if you have a yahoo i.d. just enter the location into the phone when uploading the pics. also you must first set this up w/ yahoo on a home pc before you upload the pics to the account.

might want to try a new post with that as the subject
When I got my C1 error on my picture mail subscription, tech support said that someone nuked my username from the system.

AWESOME. Had issues since last night when I switched phones. THANKS for saving me some one-on-one time w/ *2. I am sure it would have been lovely experience!

i switched phone numbers and when i try to send a picture the set password comes up first. I type in a password and then it comes up again again and again. So then i finally went to the sprint site and it sent me the password and so i type it in and then it says Error: C1.
i try going to security on my phone and type the last four digits of my phone number.. invalid lock code. Is there a way i can fix this without sprints help because they are a big pain. Ive called and gone to the sprint store last time this happend and it was no help. Please respond soon.
thanks
