i just made an m4a file of a song and tried to upload it with the focus. the first time, it got all the way through the download, but instead of saying "post processing and saving", it popped up and said "data error". so i figured my file was bad. so i re-made the mp4 file and renamed it to m4a like usual. this time, the file downloaded all the way, but right before the "post processing" message, the screen went completely white for a second or two, then the screen and keypad turned completely off, almost like the phone was off. then about 5 seconds later, without me pushing any buttons, the phone comes back on and says "looking for service" then it finds the service. but when i went to my downloads folder, the ringer is not in ringers, its in a new folder called "others". but when i go into the others folder, there is a file there, but with no name, and it wont play, and i cant delete it. yes, i did rename it to m4a, and ive made plenty of ringers that have worked fine.

Aaugh!! I hate that. I also had a problem of sending a ringer to my phone. Unfortanately if that ringer does not consume any space on phone and all that is there is the icon than your stuck. i called TS(technical Support) via CS and they said they could not do anything. I also went to the sprint store asking for the technician to see if he/she can do anything. No good. So you may be stuck with it. But if you manage to delete the unconsuming icon from the downloads sectioned please share, I also would like to delete the icon I have. I had the icon for couple of weeks.

well something bad happened to my phone tonight. i still could not get those damn icons off, nor could i download ANY other file to my phone. so tonight, i went to take a picture, only to find that i had only a few pics left. so i went to delete some. i highlighted a couple then hit delete. well the phone said "please wait" or whatever, then went to the same blank white screen and shut off. only this time, it would not come back on. everytime i hit the power button, the 7400 splash screen comes up for a few secs, then the screen goes white and shuts off. i cannot turn it back on at all. i tried taking the battery off for over an hour, but that still didnt help. so im pretty sure my phone is fried. this sucks, as i didnt have a phone to use at all tonight. so im gonna take the half hour trip to the nearest sprint store and see what they will do. i just hope they will be able to get all my contacts and other stuff off, as i have not backed it up with bitpim in a while.

so i just got back from the sprint store and im mad. i walk in and wait a few minutes, and this girl comes to help me. i told her my phone wouldnt turn on and she took it to the back. she came back out and told me their wasnt anything they could do with that phone, so they would give me another. but she apologized and said they couldnt get any of my contacts or anything else off my phone. i was a little upset, but thank god for bitpim! i just actually updated them last week.

but heres the bad part. she opens up the 7400 box and scans the barcode and stuff. and i notice there was no plastic wrapping on the phone or any protective film. oh well, i thought, i guess their giving me a refurb. well i get in my car, and it was really bright out, and i noticed how bad this phone was. there was deep gouges in the back, some light scratches on the faceplate. but the worse part was the screen was heavily scratched. deep scratches, not light ones. so i run back in and show them. she runs to the back and comes back and says that its not a refurb, but it was a new phone returned with the 14 day trial. i told her there was no way im keeping this phone. i had mine for 3 months without a scratch, and this one was worse and only 14 days old. so she orders me a refurb and tells me to come back in a week.

it works, but your phone wont work.....you will not be able to download anything after that....i started a post called 7400 viruses or something like that....this problem has become very popular on 7400's and as you read the posts you will see it has become pretty common.....this incident is bad.....and it is not only with ringers.....it has happened to people downloading games, apps, and ringers.....and yes, once you go to delete your pictures it will power off your phone and not allow you to power it back on....it will keep shutting off......someone else on this site posted that he brought it to get re-flashed to fix the problem but unfortunatly that will not even work....so if this happens you will have to get a new phone....my suggestion....buy it at costco so you will be able to return it at any point.....this is becoming a more widespread problem with the 7400 then people might think.....
