Does anyone know the length of the voicemail or text message notification tones? I tried looking for other threads but all I could find was regular ringer lengths.

I also tried timing it by sending myself a few messages but it seems to vary between 10 and 15 seconds.

I'm trying to make a tone and get it so it doesn't repeat.

it's 10 seconds on the 8200.

I always add a silence to the end of my ringers that are short so they dont repeat.

Like ms randall says ... make the beginning small, then add some silence to the end ... I like mine 30 seconds on my Toshiba ... then vibrates 1 time and "alerts" one time. ;)

msrandall, on the 5600 if you have a short ringer you are using for SMS/VM, and it is in AAC format, the phone will only play it once. therefore, no need to add silence to the end of the ringer, bc when you use it for voice calls the phone will 'loop' the file.

10 seconds is all you need it will not loop!!!
