ok you hi-techs. here is the question. i am sure with a data cable and proper adapter, a thumb drive could be hooked to the 7400. is there any way to make the phone recognize it,so it could be used as "mass storage" ?

I must say that is an excellent idea! Anyone think this is feasible at all? :eyeroll:

No.

Think you could plug one thumb drive into another, and have them move files back and forth?

no. thumb drive can not read information. only store and write. 7400 has ability to read.

It's not that no one is interested in this, it's that USB delivers power.

If you hook it up, it may drain the battery.

Impossible, first of all the 7400 would need the proper USB hardware, which would be the Host function found on desktops. Second, USB requires 5 volts of power, cell phones only have about 3.6 volts.

...that is why those who need more memory should get a phone with transflash/miniSD support.
