I am under the boeing discount, I get 25% off my bill. The only thing is, I don't work for boeing, I had a associate hook me up with that discount.
My question is:
If i was to ask to verify my employment with Boeing, what do I say? Is there specific questions they would ask me?

What can you say? You dont work there so you dont have a name of a supervisor....they will probably take your discount and make you pay back the previous ones....Your friend could lose his job if he works for Sprint.

Boeing has a special section on their bill, it displays all new changes and additions since the last bill printed. your account will pop up in that section and that is how Boeing will get your info. They will then verify your employment or relationship to an employee, if you are not verified, your discount will be removed.

So can someone explain exactly how the discounts work? I heard of corporate liable and employee liable, and how they're different... From what I understand, if Boeing has an employee liable account, you could say you're attached to whatever department, even freelance maybe, and still get it. Correct me if incorrect, please.

As an employee of Marshall Field's, I get a discount, but I have no supervisor. Technically, they all answer to me, but Boeing is most likely completely different.

Corporate liable means the company pays for the line...The account is under the companies name, etc.
Employee liable means employee is responsible for the bill but gets the discount because of employment or relation to an employee of a company. The credit is ran in the employees name, etc

i don't understand your point. why are you asking this questions? has someone asked you to verify? if not, enjoy your discount. my barber told me he did the same thing. no one has ever asked him to verify.
where are you going with this question?

Truthfully if you guys were smart... you wouldn't even bring it up that you got a discount. Becuase thats an easy way for everyone and their moma to find out and get it too. Then when Sprint catches on that Boeing doesn't have 10 million employees that have Sprint they are going to crack down and make you pay.
Moral of the story... enjoy the discount and don't go bragging about it.

You're right. (but, what's wrong with the word, "tertiary?")

Your employment at Boeing will *never* *ever* be verified. I am not a boeing employee and never have been a boeing employee, and i have had this discount on my account for 3 years.
I provided absolutely zero information when i signed up for this...other than the company name.
The sales rep that i signed up through said this was perfectly ok .. he says that many people obtain these "business discounts" and leave the company at one point. You can retain it as long as you wish.
Business discount offerings will increase based on how many employees actually sign up for the program, and other particular business relationships that can drive this discount higher. It has nothing to do with the business, but more to do with increasing the number of SprintPCS subscribers by using businesses as a promotion tool. Either way, Sprint wins and gains market share with these grass root sale schemes.
