View Full Version : New way to tell SPCS numbers?? International Texting!

First off, I have the new 5600, so I don't know if what I'm about to say is related only to this phone. Having said that, I noticed that my text messages were not picking up the caller ID from my phone book as they usually did. I called technical support, and they said that because of the new international phones, I will have to add the 1+ number to my phone book so that the callerID (or textID, if you prefer) would work. Well, I did so, and I realized that all of my SPCS numbers were now NOT showing up with the textID. So I went back and changed them.

The morrow of the story? If you want to know if your caller has SPCS then TEXT THEM! (assuming they are a SPCS Vision customer, of course)

Again, I don't know if this is just with the Sanyo 5600 or just Sanyo, but according to the tech, they have made some change in the system for I-phones, so it should work across the board...
