"Since the E725 is a CDMA handset, Verizon Wireless and Sprint PCS are both possible carriers. It should ship in the second half of 2005."

That would be awesome if Sprint got this phone. Hopefully Sprint may want to have a good relationship with Motorola and will decide to pick this phone up.

I'd be amazed if this went through for Sprint, but weirder things have happened.

From what I've read it supports BREW which means Verizon

Brew and Java are interchangable from what I've heard- so its possible Sprint could get a Java version.

Phonescoop article: http://www.phonescoop.com/news/item.php?n=1147
mentions that the music interface uses BREW, but phonescoop isn't infallible
I'd like to see it for Sprint. I'm more interested in a music player than a 2MP camera (A800).

if I was Sprint customer and Sprint didn't get this, I'd be a little pissed considering how cozy Sprint-Nextel will be with Motorola.
Motorola is doing everything right, right now.
I agree mcurtiss, and I will get this phone without a doubt if Sprint picks it up. For some reason I have a feeling it'll go to the "V" though :(

I like Phonescoop's pic the most. I'm not a slider fan but the phone's capabilities could overrule my form factor preference.

http://img207.exs.cx/img207/8893/moto2rg.png it kinda looks like a SE K700 and a Motorola SLVR had a conjoined twin

Die Sliders Die!! ;)
I haven't seen any mention of it in any of the articles, so I'm assuming this phone doesn't have a speaker phone?

I like Phonescoop's pic the most....
It looks good at that angle, but the close-ups on Phonescoop showed some seriously cheap looking buttons and silver paint. Not to mention the unpainted back. Weird. Let's hope that gets changed!
Wonder how they got away with the wheely thing for music? I thought Apple owned the patent on the wheel with anything music related...

If you go to page three of this link, and enlarge the pic you can see it actually has a "brew" link or option on it, hope that doesn't dash anyones dreams. We can still hope though.

I agree, buttons and paint do look cheap. The entire shell of the phone looks pretty cheap to be honest. Moto can do better than that :eyebrow:

Most phones that Moto have made could always be better. For some reason other carriers tend to make phones that "look" more professional than the phones from Moto. Sanyo's tend to always have a better look because they use that shiny high quality plastic that almost looks metallic in a lot of instances. Only higher end Moto phones seem to look high quality.
My v300 didn't look like it was good quality at all, and thats because it mainly wasn't.
