Anyone here willing to post the actual "official" Sprint codes that reps use to put into the systems for goodies like free text messaging, or things like that?
I see many here talking about getting this plan or that plan, but like most of us, when we call Sprint, Sprint plays it dumb - they dont know what we are talking about.
Now, if we had the code(s), we can simply call Sprint and say: "Hi. I would like to see about getting free text messaging like my friend - the code for that is Code xyx-001 thank you."
We have lots of Sprint reps here, so lets see how many post or not.

Just because you have the code doesn't mean you can get it. As Mule Doe said, it's also dependant on factors other than just having the codes. Does your plan qualify? Does your phone qualify? Does your credit class qualify? Etc..
They can't just slap a code on any plan to make it work.

As stated above, simply because the code is in the system, it doesn't mean it will work w/ your plan.
They are coded to work w/ specific plans and services.
Rough explanation:
Singe phone accts have a plan of 500 minutes and the code is something like this:
500atmspa = 500 Any Time Minutes Single Phone Acct. (not actual code, just an example)
while a 2 or 3 line acct would have a code like this
500atmmpa = 500 any time minutes multiple phone acct. (again, not actual code)
2 & 3 lines would have 500atml2 = 500 any time minutes line 2, 500 any time minute line 3 and ect.
The second example if placed on a single phone acct wouldn't really cause a problem, however, if the 500atmspa was placed on a multi line acct, then lines 2 and 3 would be charged for each minute they use because they woudl not be connected to line 1 because the code is wrong.
Equally, if an old plan had FIMF, and the new plans don't, they can't use the FIMF attachment because the code the plans are written in don't match. Just like using IBM software on a Mac, it wont work.
I hope this explaines why code is so very important to how the plans are set up.

yeah trust me .. when i was in RMS working and someone wanted something i would add it just to be nice but RMS would give a run time error and tell me i CANT DO THIS and just auto delete what i selected out of the plan. Trust me sprints programs are doing one hell of a job keeping their business to just what they want it too. If that thing does not belong in your plan OR they figure they are gonna get screw over they have all backdoors covered, there is NO way to get it bypassed. People would always yell at me cause i cant.
as dfwtxpatrick stated this is how the code is determined #F would be before 500atmmpa making the #f tell the system that you are sharing with with line 1 and 2 in a family plan. So the code for the main line would be #F 500atmmpa (not a real code). And correct me if i am wrong here lol. I beleive the single line code is #C before the. Its been a while since i seen the program and played with it.

In the past if one of my friend got something free or new. I would call cs and if they played dumb I would just gave them my friend phone number and they will look at his account and get that code need. Some of the cs reps don't now about the codes because they are new or just clueless.

well its not that they were new its that thye are just clueless. When i was only a week into workin they left me alone to get a hold of the system and all the new people i got hired in with and we all talked, we were activating new lines with no problem and finding codes and all that stuff. And if u can find anything like i said before they do have a search that u just type in "text messaging" and the system will gather all text message codes that u the system has to current date.

Codes can vary per market. Not all codes will work when you call or stop in your store. Some are meant just for the customer service (800 reps) some are market specific only codes too. Plus saying you know a code and asking for it, it may put a flag on your account. Why, because you know inside information.
Codes are set there for extreme or certain situations. Or a short term promotion that ended and the code is just lingering. If that may be the case the code is expired and can not be added to the account. Yes it’s in the system but not useable the system RMS or P2K what ever they may use. It just will not accept it.

it all depends when u got the plan..
yep. i have free 2nd line, free pcs to pcs, and free vision and free nights starting at 7. but i had my plan ever since. 2000 anytime minutes for 100 bucks for 2 lines with everything free. that's why i get so leery everytime i change phones, i'm afraid the idiots would mess up something, like charge me for vision, or take out my free nights at 7. i'd ***** them out, and then only after that, it gets straightened out. but yeah, it all depends on when you got the plan. i look a the plans now, and i shake my head. :deal: 's aren't as good as they used to be. at least the phones has gotten better :headbang2

Plurseed, someone wrote that CA. has n/w starting at 5pm. Is this true that you know of? and if so, what area of CA. has this? since i'm in CA. I would love to take advantage of this plan.
