I work in business customer care, and i get some many people asking about retention plans. If your dollar sign value is $$$-$$$$$ i will most likely just add the plan if you renew a new 2 year agreement. I can't wait til they come out with like a 1000 minute fair and flexible retention plan for 75 dollars. I have heard numerous numerous rumors in my center but who knows. Also i love how retention how can give you almost anything to keep you with sprint, especially free phones. Like really phones cost sprint 300-700 for the phone, and they sell them to you the customer cheaper, and people are complaining because they can't get a free phone. I guess sprint makes alot of money, and really to tell you the truth the reason why sprint nextel is gonna be sweet is because they new ev-do technolgy with the combo of both networks will make it almost uncomparable to anything else in the world. Also just to let you in on a little secret there is a new program coming out for account managment, and its going to be a combonation of p2k and premiere. Its going to be coming out very soon, and its apparently in the works to have the nextel network on this system. The convergys/ibm built p2k is still a very good progrom to manage wireless. It is used by many carriers, espically in Canada, where I am from. We have a sprint canada but they suck ass they are pay as you go. Anyways Expect to see some changes and look out for those retention plans.

Nice info, i hope you are right, i have a question though, whats the purpose of 1000 min. fair and flexable if they have a 1000 min plan for 50 and you can add a line for 20 and seven 7pm nights are 5, whats the point? The 10 companion, some are already getting that... :confused:

The only real point of the 1000 minute is too give you more minutes for your base. I am not sure hoew they decide how to price retention plans, but i hope that that roomer is true.

mmm... still seems a bit silly, given that you can get 800 AT F&F with TWO phones for $70. So that means 1000AT F&F for $80 for TWO phones. So why is 1000 AT F&F for $75 for ONE phone interesting at all ? For a retention plan, that is not a deal to entice anybody with over the standard F&F plans.
1000 AT F&F for $50, now that's interesting and appropriate as a retention plan (given that you can also get 1000AT F&C for $40 retention, or 700AT F&F for $50 non-retention).

If they address problems with LTS I will kiss my supervisor's arse. I had one account the other day that was incorrectly setup on a shared plan for over 2 months and had about $1000 in innapropriate charges. I guess someone in a store tried to set it up in fast, failed, and then didn't tell anyone. He had a non shared plan on a 2G phone and a secondary plan on a 3G being billed for each minute. Fixed everything (P2K for some of it) but damn...several other reps had accessed the account since it was setup that way and no one had done anything.

since you say you are from canada, i was wondering if you had any information on the $15 unlimited calling to canada that was offered to corparate liable customers about a year ago. any word if individual accounts can get this feature. thank you

actually, p2k is good enough. thing is, not everybody is allowed to access it.

Can you explain the logic behind the $$$ signs? I know I have 2 or 3, I've managed to look at the screen while at the store... Can you explain the value from $ to $$$$$...

$$$$$'s are a rating of your "value" to Sprint, many factors contribute to this rating, not limited to but encluding... your credit rating, time with Sprint, level of your MRC, # of lines of service, payment history, amount & how often credits/adjustments have been given to you.
Basically, the higher rated you are the more $$$$$$ you are. The higher you are, the more effort/money will be spent to keep you happy encluding more experienced customer service reps.
Like me for example, I'm "Gold" and I have the tools and power to offer more to keep you happy and with Sprint.

I can see that a lower bill can lower your $$ signs, but if sprint screws up and you have to call for a credit, that will lower it also? I would assume with the offer I got to stay, sprint wanted to keep my lines going (free phones, etc) but can your rating go up if sprint keeps screwing up and your polite about it? :)

Is there a way to check how many $$$ I have next to my account?
I know someone here just asked the rep on the phone, and the rep told them, but I have a feeling that won't work very often. Is it on the screen at the store when they pull your account? Maybe I could sneak a peak.
Or maybe there are specific things that they will do (like move up a rebate date) for people above a certain level?
