Lockline replacement for LG 1200?

...and i just payed my $50 deductible for a replacement phone...and i was just wandering if someone would give me a personal opinion...what phone do you think they will send me???...the people @ lockline won't tell me...

Thats a good question. I'd be really upset if I were you and they sent me a refurbed 1200. Did/do you qualify for rebates? If so I would take the $50 and buy a phone that actually works well, one that isn't one of the "free" phones. If you have a decent phone it may change your perception of Sprints service (in terms of their network anyway).

My guess is going to be a VI660. The samsung lowend phone. It actually resembles the LG1200 in size and function. But in this case the Samsung would be like gettting a 7400 compared to what you have now.

Just make sure it has an external screen...if they send you a phone without an external screen, it's not "comparable"

Would an a460 even be in stock anymore.....and the chances of one with a working screen? I had a 460 replaced by a LG 5225 by Sprint after 3 blown screens.

Lockline being lockline and knowing that the external lcd has no bearing he either gets a vi660 or a 5225. Then again they still send out TP1100 so you may get the same phone. It wont reset your 18 months so it may jsut be time to upgrade.

Believe me... A460s are STILL in stock. I think that whoever buys that phone is cursed with the same model for the rest of their lives if they keep receiving Lock/Line or DHRP replacements!

Dunno about the 1200 though... don't take the VI660. Has no external screen. Not comparable. ;)

any sprint store which does repairs can fix that for free if you have a blank screen...just as long as there is no other physical damage

Ugh. I hate to break it to you, but you could do much better than this phone for $50 on ebay. If you're upgrade eligible (check here) (http://pcshandsetupgrade.sprint.com) and willing to sign a new 1 or 2 year contract, have them give you a modern phone. Trust me on this, the LG 1200 is pretty far over the hill. It wasn't great when it came out. If you like simple phones, get a Nokia 6016i, Sanyo RL4920 or the like.

Of course, if you've paid the deductable, and your new phone is on the way, good luck with the replacement. Depending on what you get, consider dropping the coverage.

...yeah...well i guess i'm cursed cause they sent me another 1200...and get this...the stupid thing has a flaw that i have to go get tested yet again @ another sprint store...i'm so through with sprint...the next $500 i save...i'm out of here...
