Hey everyone! I am new to the site, but have been viewing the threads on here for a while now, and have finally had a problem that I can't resolve after looking through the posts.
I am currently in college in NE Pa, and am on digital roam up here, and unable to recieve text messages. :eek: I wasn't sure if it was because I am roaming that this feature is disabled. :confused: I am currently paying the extra in the plan for the unlimited roaming without charges, and wasn't sure if there was a way to do the same for texting. I can't be without my text messages and this is really bothering me. I hope someone can help!

i had the same problem at my old house and you cant send/recieve text messages or run vision while it roams, if u call sprint and tell them your problem its likely they will let u out of your contract.

I complained about this before. Both Verizon and Alltel allow incoming/outgoing SMS while roaming on other CDMA carriers.
When I complained to Sprint Business Support, I was told that this feature was not yet supported since it is not in the current roaming agreements yet with other CDMA carriers.
The best thing we can probably do is let Sprint know that this feature is important to us, and hopefully someday soon they will update their CDMA roaming agreements with other domestic CDMA carriers to include SMS.

I don't want to be out of my contract though, because I am using it to save money on voice calls. Thats the only way I don't get charged like crazy for roaming calls.
